Killer Instinct - 099

C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

You thought we were going to keep talking about awful things that are kind of objectively bad, huh? Not this time! Killer Instinct released in 1994 in arcades, and home consoles (SNES) in 1995. Sure, there were a lot of other fighting games at the time. Sure, Alex mentions Mortal Kombat 300 times during this episode. But why not - you can't talk fighting games in the 90s without Mortal Kombat's specter looming overhead.

Anyway, we talk about the characters, the production history, the sound design, and probably something completely off-topic, I have no idea. Just give it a listen.
