Grunge - 025

Grunge music is typically synonymous with Nirvana, which isn’t wrong, but it goes much deeper than that. It’s a style, a sound, and was created and spread from a very specific region of the United States.

Alex takes you on a trip through the movement’s history, which is full of tragic talents.  Most notably, the tremendously impactful Kurt Cobain.  The rest of the band chime in with their own unique recollections and insights on the genre that took over the early 90’s music scene.

The gang takes a break from Cryptogeekology this week and run through their grunge music recommendation instead. Hear favorites from both the hosts and Geeksquatch community listeners.

Geeksquatch is a nostalgia podcast brought to you by a group of “enthusiasts” that grew up in the 80’s and 90’s -  and by enthusiasts, they’re actually just a bunch of guys that like to geek out about tv, movies, video games, and toys from their formative years.  Join the podcast each week to reminisce about nerd culture topics before they became retro favorites.  Come for the squatch, stay for the trivia.
